This small Georgian terraced house was bought unmodernised by two developers. They waned to create a new spacious family home to be able to market it successfully we needed to dig out the basement and to build up into the loft area.
The front of the house was totally renovated and the front door was removed and replaced with a new door and we added in more elaborate architrave and pediment with lantern wall lights from Urban Electric. The entrance takes you straight into the entertaining space and we added in a new fireplace to give a focal point to the reception area with a pendant light by Heathfield. We also added in shutters for privacy from New England Shutters and soft upholstered sofas by Kingcome furniture.
The rear of the room has a bespoke TV unit in a light oak wood with a decorative carved square fronted doors. We also created a bar area with mirrored wall detail and a long antique wood storage unit from Flamand furniture which has the tray for cocktails and two wonderful decorative lights from ..... with unique coral bases. Leading up through the house is a small curved staircase with a wrapped leather handrail in a tobacco leather. It has a stair runner in a linen carpet with a bound linen edge detail.
The first floor has the two guest bedrooms. One is a twin bedroom which is in a blue theme with feature heardboards and a central chest of drawers from OKA and stunning mirrored wall with twig handle detail.
The second guest bedoom has a double bed with a four poster feature from Turnstyle beds and this is also mimicked in style on the sliding fitted wardrobes with decorative handle detail and padded panels on the doors. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms in marble and also a wet room in a mushroom coloured stone with bronze fittings.
Leading up to the top floor in devoted to the master bedroom and is a totally new space – we disguised the door into the master bathroom by adding padding doors and an upholsted wall in faux leather which is practical and also good for acoustics.
The bedroom has a large decorative headboard and tassled cushions with elegant bench at the end of the bed. We have put in a blue decorative carved inlayed chest of drawers from William Yeoward which compliments the artwork and decorative butterfly display.
Fully fitted bronze mirrored doors face each other in the dressing room and we added in a small fitted dressing table to complete the master bedroom suite.
