Juliette's Guide to Christmas Homeware

Can you believe that we are fast approaching the Christmas holiday? Through our eventful year of design projects, awards and collaborations, this year has flown by! Somehow I have found the time to blitz through my Christmas shopping list and along the way found some new homeware/lifestyle brands that excite me, as well as rekindled my love for some familiar favourites. For those of you who are just dusting off their Christmas decorations now or who are still wading through the abundant number of online gift guides out there - let me add to it a few more suggestions to inspire you!

Mrs. Alice

If you are looking to wow your guests (or Instagram followers) with your tablescape this year, look no further than Mrs. Alice. Whether you are having a classic red and green Christmas or transforming your home into a silvery Winter Wonderland, you will find the perfect table linen, dinnerware and curated decoration set (which includes baubles, candle holders, nutcrackers and reindeer figurines) to set the scene.

Lucy Vail Floristry

Christmas dressing is not just for the interior of your home - the experience should begin at the front door! We love the luxurious and sustainable hand-made wreaths by Lucy Vail, who uses biodegradable materials where possible. Available in 22” and 30”, these wreaths are abundantly arranged with fresh pine, mimosa, eucalyptus, dried hydrangeas, pinecones and dried fruit. Nothing beats the woody, fresh and nostalgic scent of Christmas!

Artifactually

Artifactually makes beautiful handblown glass baubles - the kind that you want to pass down generations as heirloom. Each is mouthblown, hand-etched and hand-painted individually. Some even have real crystals drops! We love the idea of Christmas decorations that you cherish throughout the years and build memories around, rather than disposable novelties that end up in the landfill when the season changes.

Osborn Interiors

Just up the street from our Kings Road studio is the charming homeware store of interior designer Bee Osborn. Much like the homes she designs, the collection offers lanterns, vases, linens and other accessories in natural materials and a neutral palette. Nowadays we find that many clients prioritise comfort above all, so this would be a perfect stop for anyone who is looking to make their home feel warm, cosy and calm.

Rachel Vosper

These days, one is spoilt for choice with the plethora of candle brands out there. However, I always find myself going back to Rachel Vosper to refill my favourite glass vessels. Her fragrances are made of high-quality natural beeswax and can be hand-poured into any container. Their unique refill service makes it easy to enjoy candles without costing the environment. Her atelier is a joy to visit - there are countless scents to choose from or you can create a bespoke blend unlike any other.
